Ambition Barnsley Returns!

After many successful years, Ambition Barnsley is returning to inspire a whole new generation of young people in school years 9, 10 and 11!

Hosted at the Barnsley Metrodome annually, employers and educators from the South Yorkshire area gather to promote their brilliant businesses and learning opportunities. Such a high number of people presenting the opportunities they can provide is great for young people. Plus, live action workshops will be taking place throughout the day!

Influential learning enterprises such as Barnsley College will have activity-centred stalls for students to gain vital information and experience about what they can do after school.

The event was highly successful last year, popular with the parents / carers and young people attending alike. The great event has helped many students decide where to go after year 11, including pivotal choices on whether to do apprenticeships, A level or vocational courses.

We really look forward to the parents and young people of Barnsley attending this year’s event, which is being held at the Barnsley Metrodome Wednesday 21st October!

"If you feel that you're a bit different, don't worry and don't be afraid to go against the grain sometimes. Are you living your life or copying someone else? It can be hard to push out of your comfort zone but take a risk and have self belief."

"I would advise every school and head teacher to get involved with this, working on something real makes so much difference to our pupils and there is nothing like this out there especially to help the pupils study their business courses"
